ANDROID OPERATION SYSTEM

Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It is developed by the Open Handset Alliance, led by Google, and other companies.
Google purchased the initial developer of the software, Android Inc., in 2005. The unveiling of the Android distribution in 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 86 hardware, software, and telecommunication companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. Google releases the Android code as open-source, under the Apache License. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android.
Android has a large community of developers writing applications ("apps") that extend the functionality of the devices. Developers write primarily in a customized version of Java.Apps can be downloaded from third-party sites or through online stores such as Google Play (formerly Android Market), the app store run by Google. In October 2011, there were more than 500,000 apps available for Android, and the estimated number of applications downloaded from the Android Market as of December 2011 exceeded 10 billion.

Mac OS Fast and High Unix Base Operating System

Mac OS
Mac OS X,[8] is a series of Unix-based graphical interface operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc. OS X (officially) runs exclusively on Macintosh computers and has been pre-loaded on all Macs since 2002.

OS X, whose X is the Roman numeral for 10 and is a prominent part of its brand identity, is built on technologies developed at NeXT between the second half of the 1980s and Apple's purchase of the company in late 1996. It was the successor to Mac OS 9, released in 1999, the final release of the "classic" Mac OS, which had been Apple's primary operating system since 1984.

OS X is a UNIX-like operating system that originally ran on PowerPC-based Macs. In 2006, the first Intel Macs had a specialized version of Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger". in 2007, Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard",[4] was the first to have UNIX 03 certification and run on both PowerPC and Intel Macs with the use of Universal Binaries. Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" was the first version of OS X to drop support for PowerPC Macs and run solely on Intel's x86-based processors. Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" was the first version of OS X to drop support for 32-bit processors and run exclusively on 64-bit CPUs.

OS X Mountain Lion[2] (version 10.8) is the ninth and next major release of OS X, Apple Inc.'s desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. OS X Mountain Lion was announced on February 16, 2012 and is scheduled for release in late summer 2012.[2] It will gain additional features from iOS, some of which were previously introduced to the Mac in OS X Lion.

New Linux OS

New Linux Distro Promoted as Anonymous-OS

A new Ubuntu Linux distribution is being marketed as "Anonymous-OS" and comes pre-loaded with tools for hacking and protecting anonymity online. However, it is unclear whether the new operating system was created by the anarchic hacking group, or even has its endorsement.

Anonymous-OS Version 0.1 was released on Tuesday and is being offered from Sourceforge and as a bitTorrent download, according to a post on a Tumblr.com page for Anonymous-OS. The operating system is an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution that was created under Ubuntu version 11.10. It uses the Mate Desktop Environment. The operating system was created for "educational purposes" to "(check) the security of Web pages," according to the Anonymous-OS Tumblr page.

The new distribution comes loaded with tools useful to hackers, security researchers and those interested in perserving their anonymity online. Among the applications bundled with Anonymous-OS are the anonymizing Tor client, Wireshark, a network protocol analyzer, password cracker John the Ripper and Pyloris, a tool for launching denial of service attacks

operating system isn't ready to be installed on devices. Its creators recommend booting it from an external device such as a CD or USB drive, according to the Anonymous-OS Tumblr page.

Though the new Linux distribution clearly makes use of Anonymous's iconography, including the ubiquitous Guy Fawkes mask, it is unclear whether any link exists between the group and those behind the new operating system. Twitter accounts associated with the group that have been used to promote other Anonymous operations were silent on the new operating system, suggesting that it was "inspired" by Anonymous more than it was made by the group.
